What IS this?

Well, the garden is still a hot mess: 



But I've enjoyed seeing all the crazy things that have been growing.  Like this guy:
Seriously. What IS this?

That pic was from about a month ago. But then it started to sprout these little purple specks:

 It looks kind of space age.  Its the weirdest plant and I would love to know what it is!

    Once you are able to take time to tackle that garden, it's going to be so nice and such a great place to spend time in the warmer months. Plants are def. not my forte (my tomato tree was infested with bugs last year and I somehow managed to kill my basil tree) so I have NO IDEA what the flower it, but would love to know when you figure it out!

    I think it's part of the Allium family.
