This is our little backyard a few days before the massive yard attack of 2013.
Basically we've been so crazed with the inside that everything got away from us, including these really annoying vines that were totally taking over. We (The Yankee, really) sprayed some weed killer in the front to prevent the vines from creeping forward and taking over our house/bed/faces.
Our fabulous friends came over and in a few hours, did THIS:

Because we can walk from the FRONT of the yard to the BACK now, unemcumbered and freeeee, a friend identified this hidden gem:

As you can see, there's still a TON of work to be done but this was a HUGE HUGE help and can't show enough appreciation for everyone's time and effort.
wow!!! It looked like a forest back there! That's soo nice of your friend to help you out and get started on that yard. That def. must have taken awhile. And a fig tree?? How cute! I would love to have a fig tree in my backyard.
